Instant Spaghetti Bolognese with Only Your Microwave

Every working mom’s wish is to have a quick and easy to prepare meal that is healthy and sumptuous enough for the kids to enjoy. After a long day of work at the office, sometimes you just wish to have take outs for dinner or would rather dine out. The thing is it is not a practical thing to do especially now that we are having a global financial crisis where every single cent of savings counts. Besides, eating take outs and dining out is not the healthiest option as well because you don’t have any idea on what is the food content especially if we are talking about fast foods.

When you walk into a grocery store, you can instantly see a lot of microwaveable meals that is ready to eat. All you need is to pop it into the microwave and wait for it to cool down and eat it. Spaghetti Bolognese is one of those microwaveable meals that can be bought in the grocery store. However if you want to give your family a treat despite of your busy schedule you can make your own version of a microwave cooked spaghetti Bolognese. Just take a look at the recipe below and you can have a gourmet meal in an instant.

The things you need (ingredients):

One pound of lean ground beef
Chopped onions
2 cloves of minced garlic
A 28 oz. can of tomatoes
2 pieces of 6 oz cans of tomato paste
2 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoon of oregano
¼ teaspoon of thyme
1/8 teaspoon of pepper

Firmly cooked spaghetti or any pasta of your choice
All you have to do is to put the beef, onion and garlic in a 3 quart microwaveable proof bowl. Place the microwaveable bowl in the microwave oven and set it to high for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove the bowl form the microwave and you will see that there are beef fats. Drain it off because it is not healthy and stir the meat to break up the meat. Once the meat is broken apart, you can now add all the ingredients together except for the pasta. Don’t forget to cut the tomatoes into small pieces before putting it into the sauce mixture. Heat it up again in the microwave and you now have a sauce for your spaghetti Bolognese.

Now you can put the sauce on top of the spaghetti or pasta of your choice. Top it off with cheese. Parmesan cheese will do or you can also top it off with mozzarella cheese and put it back to the microwave oven until the cheese melts. You can also add black pepper to further intensify the flavor. If you really want to go the extra mile, instead of cooking the pasta or spaghetti on water, try adding pineapple juice and taste the difference.
